A very special event took place on Sunday 25th May to raise funds for the residents of Marcus Humphrey House in Bridge of Weir.
A Motor Cycle Cavalcade to the 11 linked Provinces who support the Masonic Home by the Widows’ Sons Bikers Group started at 7.30am at Marcus Humphrey House, with the Group stopping at the following locations: Port Glasgow, Dunoon, Kilwinning, Galston, Stranraer, Lockerbie, Kirkmuirhill, Airdrie, Kilsyth, Tollcross and Paisley, finally returning to MHH at 10:45pm.
The Widows Sons Bikers Group was joined by several local Brethren and the Cavalcade of around 25 Bikers survived two spells of very inclement weather with only one bike failure.
They were an impressive sight as the roared into grounds of Kilsyth St John No 39.
This worthwhile venture was supported by our Province and final fund raising figures for the day from the 11 Provinces should top £6000.
( The Cavalcade had been welcomed into Dunbartonshire, Kilsyth at approx. 8.30pm by SPGM Brother Irving, PG Almoner Brother Grindlay and the Master of Lodge No.39 Brother Mitchell )
