On Thursday, 4th January 2018 a deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Dunbartonshire headed by Provincial Grand Master Bro James Forrest attended Lodge Cadder Argyle No 147.

The Master, Bro James Anderson welcomed the deputation and thereafter Past Master Bro John Adam Sutherland Shearer was presented to the assembled brethren and a resume of his masonic career was outlined by Hon Depute Provincial Grand Master Bro William Cairns after which a 50 year diploma was presented to Bro Shearer. In reply Bro Shearer thanked the lodge and outlined the enjoyment and pleasure he had derived from his membership of the lodge.
