On Monday 8th January 2024 A Large and Distinguished deputation from the Provincial Grand Lodge of Dunbartonshire headed by PGM Brother Irving entered Lodge Bonhill and Alexandria St Andrews Royal Arch No 321. Brother George McCaughey PM Hon DPGM was presented to the brethren and Brother Irving gave a resume of Brother McCaughey's extensive Masonic career.

Brother McCaughey was presented with the jewel and diploma relative to Honorary Grand Senior Deacon, this rank having been conferred upon him by the Grand Master Mason at the Grand Lodge Communication November 2023.  Brother McCaughey then made a suitable reply which was greeted with loud applause from the brethren.  Thereafter an Entered Apprentice Degree conferred by the Master and OB's of the Lodge. The evening concluded in the downstairs lounge with an hour of Harmony
